This piece of organic looking, handcrafted aluminium is called the ‘Frankfurt Flyer’ – a bespoke creation by American engineer Chris Runge. It’s rather special too, as the original Flyer racecar is the forebear to one of the most famous Porsche models ever, the 550 Spyder. This is one man’s painstaking recreation of one of the finest post-war sports cars to ever see the light of day, and it could be yours for $60,000 – around £36,500.
Koenigsegg has released a teaser image for a new Koenigsegg at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, which will be a customised Agera S. The last news we had from the intrepid Swedes at Koenigsegg was news of a new model for China – the Koenigsegg One:1, when we were exclusively able to reveal that the One:1 was a run of five cars for China that will deliver 1hp for every 1kg of weight. Now, we have a teaser image from Koenigsegg of a car that’s heading for the Geneva Motor Show next month, and all Koenigsegg has officially revealed is the teaser image (above) and a single line of information: “Celebrate 0 – 100 – 10 with Koenigsegg Automotive at Geneva 2013″.
The Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing arrives in the UK
The Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing arrived at Goodwood last summer as a concept, but after the production run of the DS3 Racing a cabrio version seemed a certainty for production. That production run for the DS3 Cabrio Racing was confirmed by Citroen in December and now it’s going on sale in the UK. With all the extra grunt of the DS3 Racing – 207bhp from its 1.6 litre THP engine, enough for 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 145mph – and a raft of changes from a regular DS3 including sports exhaust, wider track, revised steering, uprated brakes and switchable ESC, the DS3 Cabrio Racing promises real hot-hatch fun in the sunshine.
